17-4PH Stainless Steel Sheets and Plates

Higher chromium content, for improved corrosion resistance over Type 15-5 PH. Magnetic. Meets ASTM A693, Annealed, Unpolished Mill Finish.

Type 17-4 is a martensitic precipitation hardening (maraging) steel that combines high strength and hardness with excellent corrosion resistance. A simple one-step aging treatment in the range of 900 to 1150° hardens the alloy to its design strength levels.

Also known as type 630, it can be precipitation hardened by a low cost treatment. 630 is magnetic in both the solution annealed and precipitation hardened conditions.
